The Internet: August 6, 2018

Another great technology event for students! Techtacular gave a presentation for elementary school students on the basics of the internet and how it works. By the end of the lesson, students knew about different types of internet connections, how information is sent in small pieces called packets, and how URLs are translated into IP Addresses.

 

Students also took part in a fun simulation where they pretended to be different types of internet connections to deliver a message! They took turns writing a message, delivering it in a creative way based on their type of internet connection, and reassembling the message at the end.
