Another great coding camp at Huntington Beach! Students in grades 4-6 learned how to make their own Android apps using MIT AppInventor, exploring the process of real-world app development. They built two different apps that taught them different skills.
The next day, Techtacular led a brief lesson for those students who had never programmed before. Then, they were able to work individually or in groups to create their own games using the programming skills they had been taught. Near the end of class, every student had a completed game they could present to the class.
Thank you to all the students who came out and learned how to code, and to the Huntington Beach Public Library for inviting us to impact your community.
